How to Care for Your Italian Leather Handbag

  • Minor color variations and/or imperfections are part of the beauty of natural leather. Use a good leather cream occasionally.
  • Sunlight fades leather, protect your leather handbags!
  • Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth. Try a good leather cleaner if needed, be sure to test it on an inconspicuous part of the handbag first.
  • Keep your handbag in a cloth bag to protect it from dust and scratches. Our medium to large¬†handbags come in a flannel drawstring bag.
  • Store your handbags separately from each other. Don't let them touch--the dye could wear off.
  • Protect your leather handbags from temperature extremes.
  • Take immediate action if leather gets wet. Wipe it with a soft cloth, pack the inside with paper to absorb any further wetness and leave it to dry naturally.
  • Use clean newsprint to hold the shape of your bag, but don't pack it too tightly, it can affect the shape.
  • Spraying perfume or hairspray near your handbag can affect the color.
